PRATTVILLE, Ala. – The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce will join the Autauga County Commission, City of Prattville, and Autauga County PALS on Wednesday, April 20, to promote Spring Clean Up. This ceremony will begin at 3:00 P.M. at the Prattville Chamber office, located at 131 North Court Street in Historic Downtown Prattville.
Autauga County Commission Chairman Jay Thompson and City of Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr. will recognize county and city employees who work diligently to keep the community clean.
Chairman Thompson said, “When our communities are free of trash and litter, others can immediately see our sense of community pride and that Autauga County is a great place to live.”
The Prattville Chamber and local officials will also highlight the annual Bob Lee Spring Clean Up, which is scheduled for Saturday, April 23. To get litter bags for participation, please visit the Prattville Chamber office or call the Autauga County PALS at 334.850.7153.
Mayor Gillespie said, “It’s very important to remember to respect America’s natural beauty. People started litter and people can end litter. I hope everyone takes advantage of this Spring Clean Up opportunity.”
Volunteers can tie bagged litter and leave it in the right-of-way for pickup by county and city litter crews. All volunteers should report clean ups to Alabama PALS at
“Keeping Autauga County litter-free takes all of us, that’s why the Autauga County Commission encourages everyone to participate in the Autauga County PALS annual spring event. Thank you, PALS, for challenging us all to become stewards of our environment and community,” said Chairman Thompson.
