Prattville Chamber Celebrates with Community at Central Alabama Community College’s Ribbon Cutting

PRATTVILLE, Ala. – The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce celebrated with local officials, Chamber Members and community individuals at the ribbon cutting for the new campus location of Central Alabama Community College on Jan. 10. The new facility is located at 1320 Old Ridge Road in Prattville.

CACC President Jeff Lynn said, “We’re going to be focused on academics. We’re going to be focused on meeting with individuals from companies, business and making solutions. And then our job is simply changing lives and being that economic engine that we need in this River Region.”

The event featured special remarks from Alabama State Senator Clyde Chambliss, Alabama Community College System Chancellor Jimmy Baker, City of Prattville Mayor Bill Gillespie, Jr., Autauga County Commission Chairman Jay Thompson, and Council President Pro Tempore Lora Lee Boone.

Senator Chambliss said, “This is a true testament to what can be accomplished when we work together – The state partners, local partners, our cities, our counties and our Board of Education.”

Classes began on Jan. 10 at the new campus. The entire CACC staff is excited for the continual growth of their programs in the Prattville and Autauga County area.
