Prattville-Autauga Character Luminary Award Winners, Scholarship Recipients Recognized

PRATTVILLE, Ala. – In partnership with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce, the Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition presented the 2022 Prattville-Autauga Character Luminary Awards and the Excellence in Character Scholarships today at the Marriott Legends in Prattville. This recognition took place during the Prattville Chamber’s monthly luncheon, hosted by Arrow Pest Control.
The Character Luminary categories included Business of Character, Organization of Character, Citizen of Character, Student of Character and Educator of Character. Nominations were collected from the community. Congratulations to the following winners:

  • Business of Character | Prattville Baptist Hospital
  • Organization of Character | Butterfly Bridge, Children’s Advocacy Center
  • Citizen of Character | Roy McAuley
  • Student of Character | Lily Catherine Givens
  • Educator of Character | Susan Andrea Rhodes
Two Excellence in Character Scholarships of $3,500 were also awarded. The selection was based on an application and interview process. Congratulations to the following recipients:
  • Graduating Senior | Amelia Robbins
  • Post-secondary Student | Christian M. Walker
Robbins currently attends Prattville High School and will be attending the University of South Alabama in the fall. Walker currently attends Auburn University and is pursuing a degree in Wildlife Enterprise Management.
The Prattville-Autauga Character Coalition, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed in 2007, works to strengthen the community by promoting excellence in character for each citizen. To accomplish this, PACC highlights good character traits, provides educational resources, partners with character clubs, and recognizes those who have exemplified excellent character in their daily lives to strengthen their homes, schools, neighborhoods, and communities.
