One of the most overlooked business opportunities for small business owners is selling to the U.S. Government! The U.S. government is the largest customer in the world, buying all types of products and services, in both large and small quantities--and it's also required by law to consider buying from small businesses!
Purchasing everything from paper clips to janitorial services to next generation space shuttles and advanced scientific research--and pretty much in between! As a result, government contracts are a tremendous financial opportunity for small businesses. The SBA works with federal agencies in order to award 23% of prime government contract dollars to eligible small businesses.
