Creating A Winning Team: Where Employees And Business Thrive!

We all know that employees are the HEART of your business and/or organization, and every employee impacts your business and/or organization's direction! But how do you create a workplace environment where your employees love to come to work? How can you create a team which revolves around employee engagement, environment, atmosphere and the success of the company and it's clients?
In partnership with Troy Continuing Education and Outreach, we are bringing a Mid-Morning Virtual Training Series to our members to help them to empower their employees while building a thriving workplace. Whether you are a supervisor, a business owner, or an employee, everyone needs to develop the appropriate skills to create a winning team where employees and business thrive and grow!
This three-part series will begin Friday, May 7th from 9 AM- 10 AM, and will continue every Friday through May 21st! Registration is required, so secure your spot early!

Session 1: Friday, May 7, 2021, 9-10am
Summary:  In this session we will look at what is involved with a situation when opinions differ, emotions run strong and the outcomes matter.  How to talk things out in the right climate and how the interactions flow is a key to teamwork and collaboration. Techniques used include balancing your focus, stating your side of the situation, purposing mutual goals and trust, inviting the other person to feel comfortable and safe to tell their side of the story, and how to create action based on these proven techniques.

Session 2: Friday, May 14, 2021, 9-10am
Summary:  When dealing with people, awareness of difference can be a benefit, or we can make it a problem.  Un this course, the content will cover the recognition that “diversity” includes, but is may be different from, the legal aspects of Title Seven, EEO and Affirmative Action issues. The course will describe the importance and impact that “diversity” has on any environment or organization and on individual performance and productivity, what it means to be culturally competent.  Most of the course will be examine ways we can work with others by examining our prejudices, difference and similarities.  Participants will learn how to identify and implement the four elements of the F.A.I.R. approach.  This course offers an opportunity to be better at the art of working with people.

Session 3: Friday, May 21, 2021, 9-10am
Summary: Having an engaged employee base is a significant advantage. When employees are engaged they are going beyond their job description in assisting the “whole” organization to be successful.  Higher levels of trust in management and in their coworkers exists.  Engagement influences productivity, retention rates and motivation.  Based on recent national surveys, 70 percent of employees are disengaged while 20 percent of that group is actively disengaged. This facilitation will help your managers understand what engagement is and why workforce engagement matters.  We will cover the factors that impact individual engagement; how leaders set the stage for engagement; and identify actions managers can take to establish trust, confidence and potential of the team.  Included in this seminar will be a discussion on what motivates and what techniques work best with the so-called Millennial Generation.
