Your Business Plan is a Road Map to Success

The number one reason a business fails is lack of planning and the Prattville Chamber is here to help! Your business plan will help ensure your business grows and thrives. The business plan is like a road map and is a critical component for every successful business owner---especially for entrepreneurs starting a new business. Also, your business plan should be revisited and updated. But where do you start?

Hear is your opportunity to learn the experts from the Small Business Development Center/Alabama State University (SBDC/ASU) and to receive the resources and tools to help you write and strengthen your business plan.

Hiring a person to write your business plan or “finding” one on the internet is not advisable. When writing down your business plan, you're focused on your business, which forces business owners to take a good look at ALL aspects of the business. A good business plan serves as a tool for better and more effective management, and also helps to identify opportunities and challenges, while focusing your attention on important questions.

The process of writing a business plan can be a daunting task –but it is crucial for your business to succeed!

DID YOU KNOW? A good current business plan helps to ensure the business owner makes good decisions, reaches his or her goal or destination, and also serves as a measuring stick for performance of the business. A business plan can also be used as a feasibility study to identify priorities and as a financing proposal.
