This annual family fun-filled evening is a time for our community to come together and celebrate being 1 of 3 communities of character in our state! During the event we will be honoring and presenting the 2018 Champion of Character Award to Josh Johnson, WSFA Meteorologist.
Many of us rely on Josh to tell us what to expect with the weather, but he has also dedicated his life educating others about the dangers of drugs, including the misuse of prescription drugs, by being a spokesperson and advocate for addiction recovery. Driven by his brother’s legacy, Josh has established a platform to reach countless people, both young and old, in a very positive and profound way. Through his very honest and powerful testimony, he is bringing the opioid crisis to the forefront and teaching us to start talking about the issues and to take action.
This annual family fun-filled evening includes dinner, a silent auction and activities for children!
